Mennekes Charge-App

Keep the overview: The Mennekes Charge app informs you about the charged energy, the operating state, your own consumption and the electricity costs incurred. Park your electric car in the afternoon and connect it to the home charging station. The charging process starts automatically or when you want it – conveniently from the sofa. You can integrate the Amtron into your home network. Either with cable (LAN) or wireless (WLAN).

Access protection

If your home charging station is not installed in your private garage but, for example, in a parking lot of an apartment building, you can define the access to the energy consumption. The Amtron charging station offers the following options, which can differ depending on the model:

RFID charging cards in connection with the Charge App: Here you can create and maintain a list with several charging cards to regulate access

Remote control: Start, pause or stop the charging process conveniently via the Charge app. Here the start-stop function is locked by a PIN code.

RFID charging cards learned directly on the device: No network and no app are required for this.

Key switch: The simplest form of access authorization is the key switch. This allows you a permanent or one-time release and permanent shutdown. Anyone with a key can use the charging station.

Operating condition

The operating status of your Amtron charging station is visualized by clearly understandable LEDs. Operational readiness, charging, waiting time and malfunction are indicated by four backlit symbols in the colors blue, green, white and red.

Personal security

An FI switch (personal protection) is required for the installation of a home charging station. These components are already integrated in selected Amtron variants. This is the cheapest for you. You can use it to recognize faults directly on the device and conveniently remedy them yourself using the multifunction button.

Multifunction switch

On devices without authorization, you end the charging process by lightly pressing the button. Furthermore, you can simply switch the FI switch on again from the outside in the event of a fault.

Energy meters

You can read your energy consumption directly at your home charging station at any time. In conjunction with the MENNEKES Charge App, you can conveniently read the consumption values digitally via your smartphone or tablet and also use them for your personal energy statistics.

Reduce energy costs

Scheduled charging
If your energy provider offers different electricity tariffs at different times of the day, then you can define two time zones in the Mennekes Charge App and assign the corresponding electricity tariff and maximum charging capacity to these time zones. So you can ensure that you always automatically charge at the cheaper electricity tariff.

Network controlled charging
The increased use of regeneratively generated energy often leads to an oversupply of energy, because regenerative energies are available when nature wants it. In order to reduce this oversupply, energy suppliers want to connect electricity consumers if necessary. As a rule, your energy supplier provides a cheaper electricity tariff. Your home charging station can be controlled by the energy provider using the network control function. Talk to your energy provider.

Home energy management
Modern solar systems can intelligently control electricity consumers and storage media in order to make the energy available as cheaply as possible or to maximize the self-consumption of self-generated energy. The battery of your electric car is a large storage device, which significantly increases the possibility of intelligent energy control with Smart Home. The Home Energy Manager function enables you to tell your modern solar system how much energy you want to charge and in what time. In connection with the “Sunny Home Manager” from SMA, your energy costs or your own needs can be optimized.
