The Mersen boxes are DC photovoltaic generator junction boxes to protect the inverters according to IEC/EN against lightning and overvoltages.
The boxes are pre-installed and used in parallel with the inverters, mainly for 1000Vdc roof top installations.
The boxes are available in different configurations, e.g. with type 1+2 or type 2 arresters, cable glands or MC4 – connectors and for a different number of MPPTs and strings.
