SNAPINVERTER TECHNOLOGY
The SnapINverter generation of inverters is characterized by its simple, consistent mounting system. This makes installation & maintenance easier than ever. What is special about the device design is the separation of the connection and power section areas. Both are assembled separately. First, the extraordinarily light connection area including all cabling is mounted on the wall. Then the power section. The innovative swivel concept makes assembly and service particularly user-friendly. The inverter is simply hung in the wall bracket and then secured. Therefore, when servicing is required, the entire inverter does not have to be removed, only the power section. All cabling is retained.
INTEGRATED DATA COMMUNICATION
We are the first inverter manufacturer to offer a data communication package that fully integrates data logging, WLAN, Ethernet, energy management, a web server and numerous interfaces. This means that the inverter is connected to the Internet via network cable or WLAN – without additional cabling – and you have an optimal overview of the operation of the PV system. The connection to third-party components is ensured via interfaces such as Modbus TCP SunSpec, Modbus RTU SunSpec or Fronius Solar API (JSON). In addition, the open interfaces can be operated in parallel with Fronius Solar.web.
SUPER FLEX DESIGN
The Fronius SuperFlex design is an ingenious combination of technical features that make it particularly easy and flexible for you to design your PV system. The most important performance factors of the SuperFlex design are: Two MPP trackers in combination with the high system voltage and the wide DC input voltage range. Each DC input and thus each MPP tracker is also able to absorb the entire nominal power of the inverter. Whether it’s different roof orientations, shading of one or two strings or the use of residual modules: With a Fronius inverter with integrated SuperFlex design, you can cover every relevant design scenario in operational PV planning practice with just one inverter model.
DYNAMIC PEAK MANAGER
The Dynamic Peak Manager is a new type of MPP tracking algorithm that dynamically adapts its behavior when searching for the optimum operating point. The special feature is that the Dynamic Peak Manager regularly checks the entire characteristic curve automatically and thus finds the global maximum power point (GMPP) even in the case of partial shading.
SMART GRID READY
Fronius inverters are ready for the smart grid of tomorrow. The inverters are well prepared for future network requirements. A number of smart functions, so-called advanced grid features, are available in the devices. These are various control functions for the optimal feed-in of reactive power and active power. The aim of these functions is to enable secure grid operation even with a very high density of PV systems. And to prevent unwanted feed-in interruptions and associated yield losses due to cross-border grid parameters. The yield of the PV system is thus optimally secured with the Fronius inverters. In addition, dynamic feed-in control can be implemented with Fronius inverters, taking into account self-consumption with feed-in limits. Simply connect the meter and set the feed-in limit!
ZERO FEEDING
Power grid operators in many countries are increasingly demanding a feed-in limitation of PV power as a prerequisite for grid connection. With dynamic power reduction, Fronius offers a solution for optimal feed-in management. The inverter first supplies the loads in the household. It then reduces the power to the maximum power feed-in permitted by the grid operator. Thanks to this function, zero feed-in is also possible with Fronius inverters. In this way, no PV power is fed into the power grid and the corresponding requirements of the grid operator can be easily met with a simple setting on the web interface of the inverter.
ACTIVE COOLING
Active cooling technology relies on one or more fans, which not only avoid heat fields, but also regulate the air circulation inside the inverter and thus keep the temperature of the power electronics low. This has a positive effect on the service life of the devices, optimizes yields and reduces costs. At Fronius, active cooling is a technology standard in all devices.
