With the new PLENTICORE G3 series, Kostal is offering its first three-phase hybrid inverters with emergency power capability. These can be used as pure PV inverters as well as hybrid or battery inverters.

The Kostal PLENTICORE G3 is available in power classes S (4 to 7 kW), M (8,5 bis 12,5 kW) or L (15 bis 20 kW) and can be extended by two power levels in each size class. This makes it possible to adjust the output if required, for example if the PV system is to be expanded at a later date.

Excellent for storage operation

The PLENTICORE is compatible with a variety of batteries from different manufacturers. Many of these battery storage systems have a modular design and therefore offer different application options and advantages.

Thanks to the DC coupling of the battery storage systems in combination with modern high-voltage technology, conversion losses are minimal.

With backup power function

Together with the KOSTAL BackUp Switch and a connected battery storage unit, a mains-independent supply is guaranteed in the event of a power failure.

How it works: The KOSTAL BackUp Switch is installed as a manual switch on the top-hat rail in the sub-distribution board at the grid connection point. The low installation effort enables simple installation and handling.

In the event of a power failure, the KOSTAL BackUp-Switch can be manually switched to backup power, providing electricity from your own solar system and the connected battery storage system.

Thanks to the backup power function of the PLENTICORE and the manually operated BackUp switch, the installation is easy to add and operate.

With intelligent shadow management

This prevents drops in PV system performance and achieves the best possible solar yields through intelligent MPP tracking.

More long-term enjoyment with safety

The PLENTICORE meets all modern requirements for a solar system and offers comprehensive safety features. This also includes the integrable DC overvoltage protection (type 2), which can be inserted into the PLENTICORE as an optional plug-in module.

The DC overvoltage protection provides the necessary protection against induced overvoltages that can penetrate from the solar module side.

The DC overvoltage protection is activated in the event of a lightning strike. The PLENTICORE automatically reports the fault in the KOSTAL Solar Portal. The DC overvoltage protection can then be replaced and retrofitted at any time.

Sector coupling with Kostal

The PLENTICORE is a modern inverter that exploits the full potential of current and future solar systems. The solar power generated can be used to operate and intelligently control powerful loads such as wallboxes, air conditioning systems, heat pumps or heating elements.

For optimum communication, the PLENTICORE is equipped with two LAN ports and four digital switching outputs at the factory. This allows consumers in the solar system to be easily connected and intelligently controlled.

The PLENTICORE has an integrated WLAN interface without visible antennas as standard, which enables simple commissioning and device configuration as well as fast data exchange for monitoring.

Additional digital interfaces such as Modbus TCP and SG Ready enable the sector coupling of further consumers.

An overview everywhere

Monitoring via the KOSTAL Solar Portal and the KOSTAL Solar App is available free of charge.

Generation and consumption can be checked quickly and self-consumption and self-sufficiency rates can be read off easily.

Secure, free of charge and around the clock: this offers full control and a quick overview of your own solar system.

The PLENTICORE also features push-in terminals for quick wiring. Thanks to the AutoUpdate function, the PLENTICORE is always equipped with the latest software to ensure the best performance and functionality.
