NRGkick is everything your electric car needs to charge.

The highly innovative, transportable charging unit NRGkick is the safest charging unit on the market – and probably also the most intelligent. With NRGkick it is possible to charge as quickly as possible at any standard socket and in future even at public charging stations (with up to 22 kW, 1- / 2- / 3-phase). The groundbreaking, patented safety plug system with temperature monitoring on each phase pin ensures that charred sockets are excluded – regardless of whether they are CEE32, CEE16 or Schuko.
Innovations such as autonomous load management, blackout protection, locally assignable charging reports via WLAN and the option of being able to upgrade additional functions via the app at any time (such as photovoltaic-led charging in the near future) prove that with NRGkick you are not just simply upgrading the amount of time, but far beyond!

Fastest possible charging (up to 22 kW)

With NRGkick, all electric cars with a type 2 interface, regardless of whether they are 1-, 2- or 3-phase, can be charged with the maximum possible AC charging speed (up to 22 kW). Compared to the “” emergency charging cable “” for household sockets, this means that charging is up to 10 times faster and you can start your next trip fully charged in the shortest possible time instead of many hours.

Easy and uncomplicated

With NRGkick you don’t have to struggle with planning and installations for long: NRGkick can be used immediately on any standard socket and, thanks to the optionally available type 2 plug attachment, also on public charging stations. This means that you can charge your electric car wherever there is electricity and, if necessary, have your “wallbox” with you! You can of course leave NRGkick permanently connected to your socket without hesitation – it is absolutely temperature-resistant and even rain cannot harm it.

No installation necessary

A huge advantage of the NRGkick charging unit is that nothing more than a socket is required – in contrast to wall boxes, complicated installations are unnecessary, which saves a lot of time and money. The residual current protection mechanism for AC and DC residual currents, which otherwise has to be installed separately, is also already included.

Suitable for all sockets and charging stations

NRGkick plug attachments are available for all standard sockets and soon also for public charging stations. This means that NRGkick is actually everything your electric car needs to charge.
When connecting to normal household sockets, NRGkick naturally complies with the applicable country-specific requirements – for example, in Switzerland, when charging electric vehicles at household sockets, only a maximum of 8A can be charged. With NRGkick you can be sure that all requirements are correctly followed.
With the type 2 plug attachment, you can also charge with NRGkick at public charging stations and thus do without the additional mode 3 cable that would otherwise be required.

The safest charging unit on the market

NRGkick offers a wealth of safety functions, some of which have never been seen before, such as the patented safety connector system with pull-off detection and arc protection as well as temperature monitoring for each connector on each individual phase pin! With Schuko plug attachments, the temperature is recorded on both pins. Scorched sockets are a thing of the past once and for all!
But these are only two of an incredible number of safety functions, NRGkick offers blackout protection and undervoltage protection, overvoltage protection, phase shift detection, incorrect connection test, switch contact diagnosis, protective conductor test using loop impedance measurement, included residual current protection (AC, DC + 6 mA), mains frequency diagnosis, incorrect connection test, automatic self-test and many, many more functions!

Extremely robust

Of course, security also means that NRGkick is extremely resistant to external influences and manipulation by third parties. The loading unit therefore has the highest load values and a large number of functions that ensure this, such as:

Patented safety connector system

The patented safety connector system of the NRGkick has unique functions that are way ahead of the market. It consists of the plug unit and plug attachments, which are available for all standard sockets as well as for public charging stations. This means that NRGkick is in fact everything an e-car driver ever needs to charge his vehicle wherever there is electricity!
However, the system scores with many other functions. For example, it enables the temperature to be measured – and this for each individual connector and here even for each individual phase pin. With Schuko plug attachments, the temperature is recorded on both pins. Scorched sockets are therefore excluded with NRGkick!
Another unique selling point is the system’s fully automatic pull-off detection. This ensures that when the charging unit is disconnected from the power supply, no dangerous arcs can occur for you and your socket.
An additional LED display on the connector unit, haptic optimization through the use of soft components, the avoidance of any “” cable clutter “” and many other functions make the safety connector system an outstanding innovation!

Thermo-protect Temperaturmanagement

If a socket becomes too hot, this is recognized thanks to the temperature monitoring of the plug attachments on each phase pin. With the included temperature management, NRGkick is able to regulate the charging current completely independently and to guarantee safe operation without danger. With household sockets, both pins are temperature-monitored, so there is always absolute security for the charging unit AND socket – regardless of the connection!

Autonomous load management and blackout protection

An absolutely unique selling point: NRGkick brings autonomous load management and protects against power failures! This means: If NRGkick detects that the voltage drops too much due to an excessive load in the network, the charging current is automatically regulated so that the network can “recover” or stabilize.
In contrast to other load management systems, no complex configuration is required here – the autonomous load management of the NRGkick works fully automatically and without user intervention. In addition to this unique function, other load management options will also be available for NRGkick in the future.

Bluetooth and WiFi

Thanks to the large number of interfaces, it is ensured that NRGkick can be reached anytime and anywhere. Every NRGkick has a Bluetooth and WLAN interface (optional GSM / GPS / SIM) as well as access to the NRGkick Cloud and the Web API. With the free NRGkick app for iOS and Android, you can access the charging unit at any time and use all the extended functions.

Full connectivity with GSM / GPS / SIM

The NRGkick variant with GSM / GPS / SIM ensures that you really have access to your NRGkick from anywhere. Not only EDGE and GPRS are used, but also 4G M1 and 4G NB-IoT – these types of connection were specially developed for the “Internet of Things” and designed to allow you to access yours even in difficult communication situations (e.g. underground car parks) To have NRGkick! If, for example, charging costs to third parties are only reimbursed if they have taken place in certain locations, you can be sure, thanks to GSM / GPS / SIM, that the charges are securely recorded and transmitted.

Charging Networks – Ready for Billing (OCPP)

NRGkick has the option of communicating via the OCPP standard and thus joining charging networks. This makes it possible to transmit the amount of energy charged and other data via OCPP to an operator of such a charging network.

The grid-friendly control of loading units is becoming more and more important – NRGkick is already prepared for this. Thanks to the versatile communication options (Bluetooth, WLAN, GSM / SIM, Cloud) and standards (OCPP), NRGkick is absolutely future-proof.

Locally assignable charging reports via WLAN

In the NRGkick app you can optionally specify the location of the WLAN networks set up – for example “” At home “” or “” At work “”. This information can later also be seen in the charging reports, which makes it possible to make precise statements about the amounts of energy charged at a specific location!

Charging reports with GPS coordinates (with GSM / GPS / SIM variant)

NRGkick has connectivity via Bluetooth and WLAN as standard. In addition, it is also available with additional communication options – GSM / GPS and integrated SIM! This means that the charging unit can indeed be accessed from anywhere, without you having to be nearby and regardless of any unavailable WiFi networks.
Thanks to GPS, NRGkick also has the ability to display loads in load reports with the associated geolocation data! This means that you can subsequently determine exactly where and how much was charged – which in turn can be very helpful if you only want to verify charges from certain locations (e.g. for billing purposes).

Upgradeable

NRGkick adapts to your wishes – functions can be upgraded at any time even after purchase! You already have an e-car, but are you only planning your photovoltaic system for the next few years? No problem with NRGkick! Get functions such as photovoltaic-led charging anytime later for your NRGkick – without additional hardware, without buying a new charging unit! In addition to photovoltaic-controlled charging, there will be many other functions that you can expand NRGkick later at any time if you wish: communication via OCPP and soon also extended load management, fleet management and much more!

Updatable

NRGkick is not only upgradeable – it is also absolutely future-proof via over-the-air (OTA) updates, as new functions and improvements are automatically downloaded from your NRGkick and are immediately available.

The VDE (Association of Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) is the most respected body for this.
