With the Fronius Wattpilot, every electric car driver can decide how they want to charge their vehicle.
In combination with your own PV system or a variable electricity tariff, this is particularly favorable.
The Fronius Wattpilot is available in two versions - the fixed and KfW
eligible Wattpilot Home for the home and the mobile Wattpilot Go for on the move.
The device can be operated via the associated Solar.Wattpilot app, which also provides an overview of the charging process. The intelligent plug-and-play charging solution has two different charging modes, Eco and Next Trip Mode.
The Wattpilot is also PV-optimized: The car can therefore be charged particularly cost-effectively and sustainably with surplus solar energy in ampere steps.

The advantages at a glance:
- Dynamic PV excess chargeWith dynamic photovoltaic surplus charging, the PV surplus can be converted into electricity by means of 1-/3-phase switching.
amperes can be charged into the electric car. This leads to higher self-consumption rates and faster charging.
Amortization of the PV system.
- Cost-efficient charging with variable green electricity tariffsVariable green electricity tariffs, such as Lumina.Strom from Fronius, allow electric cars to be charged very cheaply with green electricity from the grid, especially at night when tariffs are low.
- Two different charging modes: Eco Mode and Next Trip Mode
Depending on the customer's needs, the electric car can be charged either very economically or optimally for the next journey.
- Stand-alone app "Solar.Wattpilot"The Solar.Wattpilot app (iOS and Android) is available for e-car owners to use the Wattpilot. With
With just a few clicks, the device is put into operation, charging settings are made and charging is visualized.
- Network connection via Wifi
- Can be used anywhereWiththe mobile Wattpilot Go, the electric car can be charged anywhere - whether at home, at work or on vacation.
Security functions:
- RFID access control: The load can only be started by selected persons with a valid ID chip (RFID).
- Theft-proof locking of the charging socket.
- Optionally mountable additional cable lock for the charging box (shackle lock not included): The Wattpilot cannot be stolen by simply unplugging it.
- Residual current device with direct current detection: 20mA AC, 6mA DC.
- Phase and voltage check of the input voltage prevents damage to the charging unit of the electric car if a phase is missing.
- Auxiliary contact on the relays to check the switching function (defective relays are detected).
- Earthing detection (can be switched off, "Norway function").
- 3-phase current sensor for evaluating the charging current.
- Customer-replaceable miniature fuse for internal electronics prevents a defect if the supply line is connected incorrectly.
- Adapter detection with automatic reduction to 16A (only for Wattpilot Go 22 J).
- Temperature monitoring: Current is reduced if the temperature is too high.
