The highly innovative NRGkick Fix “Max” charging unit is the safest charging unit on the market – and arguably the smartest. The groundbreaking, patented safety plug system with temperature monitoring on each phase pin ensures that scorched sockets are ruled out.

Innovations such as autonomous load management, blackout protection, locally assignable charging reports via WLAN and the possibility to upgrade further functions via the app at any time (such as photovoltaic-guided charging with phase switching in the near future) prove that with NRGkick Fix “Max” you are not only technically on the cutting edge, but far beyond it!
Fastest possible charging (up to 22 kW), simple and straightforward
With NRGkick Fix “Max”, all e-cars with Type 2 interface, whether 1-, 2- or 3-phase, can be charged at the maximum possible AC charging speed (up to 22 kW). Compared to the “emergency charging cable” for household sockets, this means that charging is up to 20 times faster and you can start your next journey fully charged in the shortest possible time instead of many hours.
With NRGkick Fix “Max” you don’t have to bother with planning and high installation costs: All you need is the already included NRGkick wall socket, which can be installed in no time by an electrician on a 32A fused supply line. The residual current protection mechanism for AC and DC fault currents, which would otherwise have to be installed separately, is also already included in the charging unit!

The safest loading unit on the market and also extremely robust

NRGkick Fix “Max” offers a wealth of safety features, some of which have never been seen before, such as the patented safety plug system with pull-off detection and arc protection, as well as temperature monitoring for each plug attachment on each individual phase pin! For Schuko plug attachments, we record the temperature on both pins…. Scorched sockets are a thing of the past once and for all!

But these are only two of an incredible number of safety functions, NRGkick Fix “Max” offers with blackout protection and undervoltage protection, overvoltage protection, phase shift detection, false connection test, switch contact diagnosis, protective conductor test by means of loop impedance measurement, included residual current protection (AC, DC + 6 mA), mains frequency diagnosis, automatic self-test and other functions many, many more!

Of course, safety also includes the fact that NRGkick Fix “Max” is extremely resistant to external influences and tampering by third parties. Therefore, the charging unit has the highest load values and a variety of functions that ensure this, such as:

theft and tamper protection, overrun protection, temperature resistance -40 to +70 °C (operating temperature), water and dust tightness (IP67, IP69k), shock and impact resistance (IK10), soft components on the charging unit and plug unit for optimal haptics and scratch protection, highest number of mating cycles due to silver coating of all plug attachment contact parts,…

Patented safety plug system

The patented safety plug system of the NRGkick Fix “Max” holds unique features that are far ahead of the market. It consists of the plug unit and optionally available plug attachments, which are available for all standard sockets as well as for public charging stations. So NRGkick Fix “Max” is indeed everything an e-car driver ever needs to charge his vehicle anywhere there is electricity!

However, the system scores with many more features. For example, it enables temperature measurement – and this for each individual plug attachment and here even at each individual phase pin. In the case of Schuko plug attachments, the temperature is recorded on both pins. Scorched sockets are therefore impossible with NRGkick!

Another unique selling point is the system’s fully automatic puller detection. This ensures that when disconnecting the charging unit from the power supply, no dangerous arcs can occur for you and your socket.

An additional LED display on the plug unit, haptic optimization through the use of soft components, the avoidance of any “cable tangle” and many other functions make the safety plug system an outstanding innovation!

Thermo-protect temperature management

If a socket becomes too hot, this is detected thanks to the temperature monitoring of the plug attachments on each phase pin. Thus, NRGkick Fix “Max” by means of the included temperature management is able to regulate the charging current completely independently and ensure safe operation without danger. With household sockets, both pins are temperature-monitored, so there is always absolute safety for charging unit AND socket – no matter at which connection!

Autonomous load management and blackout protection

An absolutely unique feature: NRGkick Fix “Max” brings autonomous load management and protects against power outages! This means: If NRGkick Fix “Max” detects that the voltage drops too much due to a high load in the grid, the charging current is automatically regulated so that the power grid can “recover” or stabilize again.

Unlike other load management systems, no complex configuration is required here – the autonomous load management of NRGkick Fix “Max” works fully automatically and without user intervention. In addition to this unique function, other load management options will also be available for NRGkick Fix “Max” in the future.

Bluetooth and WLAN, optional GSM/GPS/SIM

Thanks to the multitude of interfaces, it is ensured that NRGkick Fix “Max” is always and everywhere accessible. Each NRGkick Fix “Max” has a Bluetooth and WLAN interface (optional GSM/GPS/SIM) as well as access to the NRGkick Cloud and the Web API. Via the free NRGkick app for iOS and Android, you can thus access the charging unit at any time and use all advanced functions.

The NRGkick Fix “Max” variant with GSM/GPS/SIM ensures that you really have access to your NRGkick from anywhere. Not only EDGE and GPRS are used, but also 4G M1 and 4G NB-IoT – these connection types were specially developed for application purposes of the “Internet of Things” and designed to have access to your NRGkick Fix “Max” even in communicatively difficult situations (e.g. underground garages)! If, for example, charging costs are only reimbursed to third parties if they have taken place at certain locations, you can be sure that the charges are securely recorded and transmitted thanks to GSM/GPS/SIM.
